ROANE STATE VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO WALTERS STATE IN FOUR SETS

The Roane State Community College women's volleyball team suffered a setback on Tuesday night, falling to Walters State Community College in four sets.

The first set was a tightly contested affair, with both teams battling for every point. Walters State ultimately edged out the Lady Raiders, taking the set by a score of 27-29.

Roane State bounced back in the second set, securing a 26-24 victory. Solene Roussel led the Lady Raiders with aggressive serving, contributing four aces to the team's effort.

The third set proved to be a challenge for the Lady Raiders, as they struggled to find a consistent rhythm. Walters State capitalized on Roane State's miscues, taking the set 25-18.

The fourth and final set featured exciting rallies and impressive teamwork from both sides. However, some miscommunication and errors allowed Walters State to pull away and secure a 26-24 win.

Hannah Harnichar paced the Bulldogs with 14 kills, while Jaylynn Bullock led both teams with 33 digs. Haley Ledford dished out 44 assists against Walters State.

The Roane State Lady Raiders now have an overall record of 10-6 for the season. They will look to bounce back when they host Pellissippi State Community College on Tuesday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
