RAIDERS NAMED TO ALL-CONFERENCE BASKETBALL ROSTERS
The TCCAA handed out extra hardware following last month's Region 7 basketball tournament for outstanding conference players on both men's and women's teams.
Roane State men's basketball players Walter Campbell and Marcus Black were named to the All-TCCAA First Team and Jahiem Berry picked up Second Team honors.
Campbell finished his career at Roane State with a solid sophomore season. He played in and started 29 games. In that time, he racked up an average of 19.6 points per game, shooting 51.7% from the field, and earning more than 10 rebounds per game with 86 total assists.
Black also started and played in all 29 games where he produced a 42.2 FG percentage, averaging 14.8 points per game. The sophomore guard totaled 164 rebounds and 63 assists.
Sophomore guard Jahiem Berry played in all 29 games as well as a member of the starting five. He knocked down 104 three-pointers, shot 49.7% from the field, and put up 97 assists on the season.
For the Lady Raiders, freshman guard Layla Bouldin pulled in All-TCCAA First Team Honors.
Bouldin, a TCCAA Player of the Week winner, started all 23 games for the Lady Raiders basketball team this season. She played 590 total minutes, averaging 25.7 minutes per game with a field goal percentage of 52.4 (103-248). That worked out to 15.1 points per game.
"We are so proud of how both basketball teams performed this season," Athletics Director David Lane said. "These student-athletes deserve so much recognition for their skill and dedication to the game as well as their education. We are blessed to have them at Roane State."
The Raiders and Lady Raiders will be back in action this fall for the 2025-2026 season. Visit the team pages to check schedules and scores.
